Answering the Questions – The Wizard will give you instructions and then ask you several multiple choice questions in order to assemble your package. First, select a fish species. Tackle-Box is building its capabilities species by species. If the species you are pursuing is not shown in the selection list, then we have not yet completed preparing our system to automatically outfit that species and you will not be able to use the Wizard to prepare your package at this time. Please proceed to the Browser or Searcher section. We are adding species as quickly as we can. E-mail us and let us know the species you’d like to see listed next. If your species is listed, select it, click NEXT and continue.
Once you have selected your species, the Wizard will ask you to select a country. We are building the species we list, country by country. Although some species may not yet show all countries (or regions) in which they are found, you may be able to answer this question by selecting a neighboring country or a country with similar environmental conditions. If you are not able to use the Wizard to prepare your package at this time, please proceed to the Browser or Searcher section. If the country you will be fishing in is listed, select it, click NEXT and continue
Once you have selected a country, the Wizard will ask you to select either a specific body of water or a water type. As much as we’d like to, we still haven’t fished every piece of water on the planet, so we’ll probably never be able to list every single river and lake. If your destination is not specifically shown, then select the water type that most closely resembles it. You can review the provided descriptions to help make the best choice. Once you’ve selected the body of water or water type, click NEXT and continue.
The Wizard will now ask you to select your preferred tackle type. If you plan to use only one type of tackle, say baitcasting, simply select it and continue. If you’re planning a trip during which you will use both spinning gear and fly fishing, first select one of them and complete the Wizard, then simply back up to the tackle selection and continue through again with the other desired tackle type. The Wizard will specify your outfits, send them to your cart and store them until you’re done for your editing and review. Whatever tackle type you select, enter it, click NEXT and continue.
Selecting an Outfit - With the information you’ve provided, the Wizard will prepare as many as three complete outfits for your review. Click the Silver, Gold or Platinum buttons to see the contents of the suggested outfits. A window will open to enable you to view the list of items included in each outfit. For more information about the individual items on the list, click them to open another viewing window with detailed product information. These "viewing" windows don’t have editing capabilities, they are provided simply to help you make a selection based on your budget, your preferences and your fishing priorities. All of the outfit levels are designed to provide full fishing performance for the selected fishing situation. They differ in their range of capabilities, their technical advances and, of course, their prices.
The silver level outfit is designed to provide an economical package of tackle without frills, but quite adequate for its intended task. All of the components feature dependable quality at an affordable price. The gold level outfit is designed to provide a reasonably priced package of tackle perfectly suited for its intended task. All of the components feature fine quality and excellent performance. The platinum level outfit is designed to provide a comprehensive package of tackle, not only perfect for its intended task, but capable of adjusting to the wide array of variable conditions that we fisherman know can occur on any trip. This outfit level features the highest quality components, the latest fishing technology and superior performance.
After reviewing the outfit levels, select the outfit that seems most appropriate to your needs. You can always change your mind and go back and select a different outfit. You can even mix and match one outfit’s component packages or items with another’s during the editing stages. Go ahead, experiment and feel free to make the package your own.
Editing an Outfit – Once you’ve selected an outfit, you have total control over every single item included. Click the EDIT button and you can add or subtract individual items or even entire packages within the outfit. If you already own an item, simply delete it by unchecking the check-box or by setting the quantity to 0. If you would prefer a different item, size, color or brand name in your package, simply delete the item and use the Wizard or the Browser or the Searcher to find your preferred substitute.
The Cart - We’ve tried to make our system as flexible and as easy to use as possible. Once you’ve selected an item, a package or an outfit and put it in your shopping cart, it will remain there waiting for you no matter where else in our site you wander. You can go back over and over and select or unselect items. The CART button (and a running tally) is available to you from anywhere at anytime. Whenever you return to the cart, you always have full editing capabilities.
In the Shipping/Payment information box you will be able to select both the preferred shipping and payment method. Keep in mind, that if you are leaving soon, express shipping service will be more likely to ensure timely delivery. See below for information about payment options. After you have completed all of the required information entry, click the NEXT button and continue. Your entered information and the contents of your order will be displayed for your review. You can select the BACK button to make changes or correct any errors. Once the information display page accurately reflects your order and information, press the CONFIRM ORDER button and your order will be processed.
Purchase via Credit Card – If you prefer to pay on-line by credit card, your transaction will be completed automatically and immediately. Simply select the credit card type from the drop down list and then enter your card number and expiration dates in the spaces provided below. Tackle-Box.net uses a secure, encrypted server to ensure your privacy and the security of your credit card information.
Purchase via check – If you prefer to pay by check, simply print the completed information and order page and mail it, with a check for the full amount to Tackle-Box.net - 9 Powelson Drive - Hillsborough, NJ 08844. Your order will be processed upon receipt and acceptance of your check.
